A family business
Ryedale Farm was established in the 1930s by Maurice Kemp on an 11-acre field. The site now operates on a very different scale, combining an arable farm, poultry unit, cold store facility and a fully licensed in-vessel composting operation.
The Arable production is comprised of 600 acres. The main crop grown is Maize which is used in a wide variety of ways. The whole crop is used for the cattle market as well as the emerging anaerobic digestion market, to produce renewable green energy locally.
Meet the team
Keeping the site productive, safe and happy is the job of Jeremy and Ollie who work alongside their other family members.
All thirteen team members know their roles and carry out their daily duties to the best of their abilities, making sure the site runs smoothly right through the year. Some of the experienced team have been with us since leaving school, racking up nearly 35 years of service which is a great help for developing the younger members.
The future
Ryedale Organics has been investing in new technology, ensuring that our customers have more choice, enabling us to offer increased capacity as our database grows.
Our ongoing investments demonstrate the commitment to providing a friendly, reliable, efficient service without losing its traditional values.
We are a family-owned business, constantly looking to improve and evolve our services into a greener, cleaner, future.
